Q Chamber is pleased to be partnering with Open for Business, a leading not-for-profit organisation that produces research on the economic and business benefits of LGBTQ+ inclusion, for the global launch of their new Southeast Asia report.

“The Economic Case for LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Southeast Asia” provides fresh analysis and new figures demonstrating the cost of LGBTQ+ discrimination in the region, through wage gaps, health inequalities, lost innovation and foreign direct investment, among other key economic indicators. Rather than risk losing economic power from discriminatory practices, the report highlights a number of economic and business propositions that could enhance economic growth while building a more cohesive and inclusive society.

The new evidence and empirical data within the report can be used by companies, policymakers, NGOs, and activists to drive both sustainable growth and LGBTQ+ inclusion. The Open for Business team attending the event would be delighted to speak with you about opportunities to activate the research in your own context.

This launch event will coincide with the global online publication of the full report.

Mark your calendar for 26 September 2024 (Thursday) from 5:30 pm to 8 pm to join us in hearing the key findings from the research. Light bites and beverages will be provided.

Most recently, he was the keynote speaker at Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride’s 2024 Pride Summit.

Before joining Open for Business as CEO, Dominic was Chief Executive at Just Like Us, the charity dedicated to advancing young LGBTQ+ lives. Under his leadership, the organisation managed to reach more than half of all UK secondary schools with at least one of their programmes.

She has used her network across the region to identify where this research is relevant and impactful, and has worked to identify partnerships in each country to ensure the successful activation of the research once launched.
